摘要: Hydrogencanrelievetissue-damagingoxidativestress,inflammationandapoptosis.Injectionofhydrogen-richsalineisaneffectivemethodfortransportingmolecularhydrogen.Wehypothesizedthathydrogen-richsalinewouldpromotetherepairofspinalcordinjuryinducedbyAllensmethodinrats.At0.5,1,2,4,8,12and24hoursafterinjury,thenoncedailyfor2weeks,0.25mL/kghydrogen-richsalinewasinfusedintothesubarachnoidspacethroughacatheter.Resultsat24hours,48hours,1weekand2weeksafterinjuryshowedthathydrogen-richsalinemarkedlyreducedcelldeath,inflammatorycellinfiltration,serummalondialdehydecontent,andcaspase-3immunoreactivity,elevatedserumsuperoxidedismutaseactivityandcalcitoningene-relatedpeptideimmunoreactivity,andimprovedmotorfunctioninthehindlimb.Thepresentstudyconfirmsthathydrogen-richsalineinjectedwithin2weeksofinjuryeffectivelycontributestotherepairofspinalcordinjuryintheacutestage.
